LITTLE WISE MAN

I found a wise man on a mountain side

Using my intuition as my guide

I saw the cave and the fire he’d lit

A welcoming feeling to come and sit

Staring into the flames he never looked over

As I kneeled, sat and moved a little closer

There he sat so peaceful and still

I began to wonder if he was real

A peaceful feeling enveloped me

As I sat so still it was her I could see

A poor little creature that’s been through hell

All because she could not tell

The anger and shame she holds inside

All the feelings, emotions slowly died

There she sat so battered and bruised

Unable to trust and so confused

A long road ahead she will need to fight

To get where she wants, it is her right

What can I tell her, what can be achieved

So many injustices, a need to grieve

Let it all out, get rid of it all

You did nothing wrong, stand up tall

Go out and get what it is you’re after

A life full of fun, love and laughter

It will be hard but don’t be afraid

The panic you feel will gradually fade

A gift I will give her to help her through

On to her journey to pastures new

The wind it blew and the fire had died

The little wise man had gone inside

I sat for a while unsure what to do

Was what just happened actually true

As I walked down the steep and winding slope

In my hand was a bag of hope

To help me through my journey ahead

That is what I had said.
